Lazy Food Blogger

I guess there is such a thing as having too many blogs! I've been having so much fun with my photo blog that I've neglected my cooking blog. I'm still trying new menu items, but haven't had much time to get new recipes posted. This morning, after receiving notice that one of my recipes has been featured on a wonderful blog called The Back Burner, I decided I had better get my act together and add some new recipes -- it's been over three months!!

If you get a chance, pop over and see what's been cookin' in my kitchen.

Or, take a peek at some of my latest photos over here. And be sure to check out the great photos on Nat's & Bookfool's blogs, as well!

And not to worry... I have two book reviews in the pipeline. :)

  1. Yayyy! I was just checking your cooking blog the other day and hoping for some new content. :)

  2. Too funny...I've only gotten carried away by starting two blogs, and I'm spending too much time blogging to read or cook much.

  3. Andi - Thanks for being such a faithful visitor on my food blog. I'll try to add more recipes in the coming weeks. I'm in the mood to try a lot of new soups and stews.

Audrey - It does get a bit time consuming, doesn't it? But it's also very rewarding.

  5. Time has a way of getting away from us, doesn't it? My cooking blog has been neglected of late, too. Even worse than my reading blog, and that's been sorely neglected.

  6. I do check your cooking blog regularly - I use your roast with onion and mushroom gravy recipe routinely. It's one of our favorites.

  7. I'm so glad you reminded us about your cooking blog! I need to add it to my Google Reader. We've gotten into a rut, here, so new recipes would be great. Someday, I'll type up the two I promised you. Sorry so slow.

  8. You look so happy in your kitchen! Just as happy as when you're holding a book. I love all your interests, Lesley; you're an inspiring woman with all your creativity.

  9. Iliana - I do that myself! Flip through the recipes, trying to figure out what to fix in the coming week and wind up starving!

Sorry for the delay in responding! It's been a busy week at work.

Booklogged- Yes, it does! I'm just getting to these comments. Sheesh. I really am a lazy blogger these days.

SuziQ - Glad to hear you check in on a regular basis. I really do keep it for myself, but it's nice to know I have the occasional visitor. And thanks for reminding me of that delicious roast recipe. I'm adding it to my weekly menu tomorrow. It'll be perfect with some mashed potatoes after a long day at the bookstore. I'm not very inspired to spend much time in the kitchen after being on my feet for 8 hours!

Bookfool - We get in a rut here, too. I'm getting a bit too lazy about my cooking, especially on the weekdays when I've been on my feet for 8 hours! No rush on those recipes.

Bellezza - That picture was taken last winter when I doing a bit of Christmas baking. I need to make more time on the weekends for baking. I'm craving some homemade bread.

Thanks for your sweet words. I love to cook, read and take pictures. Just wish I had more time for all those things I love!
