Wordless Wednesday

I've been away from this blog for over a month. Perhaps sharing a photograph will inspire me to return.

(Shot at dusk. No filter.)

  2. That is a gorgeous picture! Color is so vivid. Sometimes blogging breaks are just the thing. You'll return if it feels right. :-)

    1. Thanks, Kay. My roses are really enjoying all the rain we've had!

      Still not feeling inspired to do much in the way of blogging. I've been doing a lot of spring cleaning and have had two garage sales and hauled a bunch of stuff to the Goodwill. For the first time in many years, I feel like my house is in order and I can find what I'm looking for. It's a great feeling! :)

    1. This is the longest I've been away from my blog. Still not sure what lies ahead. Maybe just a simple post with the stats and a favorite quote or two. Just not ready to dive back in yet.

  5. Beautiful! I wish I could assume you were enjoying gorgeous summer evenings but I know that rain has probably kept you from doing that much as much as it has us.

    1. Isn't it crazy how much rain we've had this spring?! I feel so bad for all the people with flooded basements. {Knock on wood!}

  6. I'm so unaccustomed to visiting blogs that I was looking for the "like" button. LOL Beautiful photo, Les!

    1. I've done the same thing, Nancy (looking for the "like" button)! This has been such a great spring for the gardens/lawns. Everything is so lush, although we are also dealing with a lot of mosquitoes. :(

  7. Actually, being away for a month sounds rather refreshing. I see you on facebook, when I pop in over there, and that helps me feel in touch. Your photographs and reviews will always be well received by me whenever it is that you post them. xo

    1. Well, I'm coming up on two months now. However, I've gotten SO much done around the house. The spring cleaning fever struck and I've had two garage sales and have hauled to carloads of clothes and household items to Goodwill. Now I'm focusing on my books. I have several boxes ready to take to Half Price Books in Omaha. I've decided to only keep the books that I really, really loved. And with regard to those in my TBR piles, I'm only keeping the ones that I really, really want to read. If I decide later on down the road that I want to read something that I got rid of, I can always borrow it from the library or get it on my Nook. Glad you're keeping in touch via Facebook. I'll be sure to share a link to my blog if I get back to posting. We won't lose touch! xo

    2. I, however, have bought more books in the past months than I have in a long time!

    3. Good for you, Nan! I haven't gotten around to sorting through the unread books, like I had thought I would. Maybe later this fall. The books I am discarding are those that I've read (or Rod's) that I liked, but didn't love enough to want to read again. It's nice to have a little space on my shelves for some treasured items other than just books.

    1. Thanks, Trish. All is well. Just busy with life and summer activities. What started out as a short blog break has turned into a full-blown hiatus. Not sure if and when I'll get back here, but you never know.

    1. Thank you so much Robin! I didn't expect to take such a long break, but one week led into another and now it's been a couple of months! Maybe I'll feel inspired once summer has passed.

    1. I agree, Nan! I can't get over how pink the roses on this bush are every time they bloom! And they smell heavenly.
