I see you just read the Lippman book. What did you think? I have only tried one of her books and it didn't go very well, but that one really caught my attention.
Diane - Oh, the neighbors don't mind one bit! It's an acoustic guitar, so nobody would really hear much of anything anyway...and, our houses aren't that close together!
Joy - I think he did. They were out there for a long time and it was warming up to be a hot day.
Hmmm, I think the Lippman book was mediocre at best. It kept my interest enough for me to keep reading, but it took almost an entire month to get through it! I'll send it to you, if you like.
Kathy - And it's pretty much what he does every morning, just not usually outside. He plays while Annie eats her breakfast. ;) I think he was working on a Beatles' song the day I shot these pix.
Oh, thank you for your kind offer, Les, but I have the audiobook on my iPod. I'm not sure I'm even going to attempt that at this point, though. If you rated it highly, I would have been more eager to get to it, but that didn't happen. :( It's just going to sit and stew until one day I decide to listen to it or delete it. Again - thank you!
Joy - I think I'd skip it. I can't remember what you've listened to, but my recent audio favorites are The Art of Racing in the Rain (I know you didn't like this one at all!), The Story of Edgar Sawtelle, and currently The Girl Who Played With Fire. Oh, and World Without End (by Ken Follett). Awesome book. This one... not so much.
How fun! I am always happy when I get serenaded, but unfortunately that doesn't happen very often!
ReplyDeleteKailana - Annie-dog seems to enjoy it. :)
ReplyDeleteWell the dog seems content...LOL
ReplyDeleteAre the neighbors still speaking to you? We use to have a guy that played bongos on his deck...annoying.
LOL. Did he put the dog AND himself to sleep?!?

What a lovely way to start the day.
ReplyDeleteWhat more can you ask for??

Staci - Not much...well, maybe an ocean.

ReplyDeleteThose pictures are just wonderful. And am I seeing right that in the last one both are asleep? Perfect.
ReplyDeleteNan - Rod says they were just resting their eyes. ;)
