  1. We saw one of his exhibitions in San Francisco a few years ago - pretty fantastic!

  2. So glad you enjoyed this! I wish we could've gone again at night. Would've been beautiful all lit up!

    1. Andi, I agree. It would be gorgeous at night! Unfortunately, we didn't get to the Chinese Lanterns at State Fair Park. :( The days went far too quickly. But we fell in love with Dallas. Lots more pix to share. :)

    1. That's exactly what we thought, too, Staci. Very graceful.

    3. I decided to ditch my face!! LOL!! I'm staying with this one because it helps remind me that I am truly The Luckiest Girl!!! Plus, I just love the vintage look of Beverly Cleary's book cover!

    4. I don't think you needed to ditch your face, but I do like this avatar. :)

  4. I looked him up and he has a very interesting story - someone who really does make the best of bad situations. I'd not heard of him before. Thanks. Really beautiful.

  7. I recently heard that they are extending the exhibit so I'm hoping that we can head out there one more time before it's dismantled. We saw a great deal of the grounds but I don't remember seeing these. They're beautiful! Did you go at night?

    1. Trish, I think they've extended it through the end of the year. You really should get out there again. I wish we had seen it at night, but we were watching football! :)

I fell in love with Dallas! We spent a lot of time in Oak Lawn area and wandered around downtown one afternoon. Love the Klyde Warren freeway park! I hope to get back down there again sometime in the next year. I want to see you and Andi (and Kay from the Austin area), so I'll keep you posted.

    2. We don't get downtown often but I do want to visit the freeway park. We've had such warm weather that it seems silly not to take the trip down there! Glad to hear your recommendation.

  8. This is fascinating work! I've seen a huge Chihuly in a Las Vegas hotel and another one hanging from a ceiling at the Salk Institute. Marvellous artist. Thanks for sharing these wonderful photos.
