I so wish I could see this with you!!! I've been waiting all Thanksgiving Break, and now it's here I hardly can find time. This weekend we spent putting up Christmas before my son leaves a week from today. Anyway, all that to say, the scenery looks so incredible, and Keira so lovely, that I hope I won't mind too much if Hollywood veers away from Tolstoy.
Bellezza, I would have loved to have seen this with you. I can just picture us heading out for dinner or dessert after the movie, spending hours talking about the plot, setting, costumes, etc., etc. It truly was remarkable. I'll be interested to see if you agree. I do think that Keira was lovely and I loved Jude Law in his role.
Diane, I strongly suggest you find a friend to join you at the theater for this film. It's one you'll want to see on the big screen rather than at home, imho.
Thanks for the kind words about my header. Do you know I swap it out every weekend? You can find all the photos I've used in my sidebar under weekly headers. :)
I want to see Lincoln, too! I think I might be able to convince my husband to join me, although we've gotten quite lazy and usually wait for the dvd release. But after seeing Anna Karenina in the theater, I'm thinking I might like to start going to the movies more often again. There's just something wonderful about seeing it on such a large screen.
I'm so glad to hear you loved this one!! I really want to see it but I actually have Scott on board to see Les Miserables (a musical!! which he hates!!) so I'm not going to press my luck with two period pieces. To second JoAnn's comment, my mom told me that Lincoln was fantastic. Tis the season for great movies!
I doubt I can get Rod to go see Les Mis. He went with me to see the musical, so I shouldn't complain... ;) I suspect if Scott isn't a fan of musicals, he won't care much for Anna Karenina. It really has that sort of a feel to it. I plan to see Lincoln...maybe on Christmas Eve. I know Rod will want to see that!
Hope you're having a great month. I've been too busy to visit blogs this past week and I know the coming weeks will be even worse. Is it January yet?!?!

We saw Lincoln over the weekend (LOVED IT!), but I'm going to try and convince my husband to go to the movies again this weekend. Wish me luck!
