Les, absolutely loved these shots! You got some excellent ones. The very first picture, the 3rd from the bottom, and the last photo are my favorites but the others are still fabulous! You really make me want to see the Pacific Northwest!
Nan, we didn't walk around the bend, so I'm not sure if it ends or not. I'm sure when the tide is high there's no way around the bend. You can reach the lighthouse by walking up several flights of stairs from the beach. It's really very beautiful!
We visited Oregon a few years ago, and we thought it was stunning. The ocean was startlingly cold, though, even in June. It seemed to have two speeds: Rainy and Completely Dry. We visited Western Oregon and Eastern Oregon; they were quite different.
Your pictures are exactly the way I remember Oregon: beautiful but chilly. Very, very nice shots.
Deb, Oregon really is a gorgeous state. I have yet to put my feet in the ocean there, though. Quite a difference from Southern California, but I'm really past the stage of swimming in the ocean at this point in my life. As far as the climate, it probably feels very chilly to those from TX. :) I'm ready for mild temps after living in the Midwest since '92! Thanks again for your nice words.

ReplyDeleteCathy, thanks for your kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed the photos from Oregon and hope you get to visit the area some day!
DeleteDoes the beach just end? Or is there a path to climb up over the rocks to the lighthouse? Very atmospheric views. Good setting for a mystery.

DeleteOK, this is your assignment - when you guys move to Oregon next year, Wednesdays are reserved for Oregon photos - just for me. LOL LOL
ReplyDeleteKay, haha! I can probably do that, although I'm sure everyone will get quite bored with all the OR photos after a while!
DeleteSo beautiful! I really need to visit Oregon - one of these days!
ReplyDeleteIliana, thanks! Yes, you really should visit Oregon some day. It's so pretty!
DeleteLovely! I would love to be near the sea right now instead of working all day. lol
ReplyDeleteKelly, thanks! Yep. I'd love to be near the ocean right about now, too!
DeleteThose are some lovely ocean pics. I love the ocean and look forward to a mini vacation to Cape Cod in October.
ReplyDeleteDiane, thank you! Lucky you! I've never been to Cape Cod and I'll bet it's quite lovely. Please share some photos when you go!
