Every now and then, I am asked to name my favorite book. What a difficult question! I have read so many wonderful novels and works of nonfiction, and to name just one book is quite impossible. However, one of the first books to come to mind is Markus Zusak's amazing novel, The Book Thief. I've only read the story once, but it was so powerful that I know I will never forget the impact it had on me.
Today I was so excited to learn that the film of Zusak's novel is in production!! Go here to read more.

I tend to avoid movies made from books, but The Book Thief is definitely one of my favorites in the past decade and, I think, very deserving. Hope the movie turns out well!
ReplyDeleteI hope so, too. A part of me will be afraid to see the movie, but maybe it will turn out just the way I imagine it should be. One can hope, right?
DeleteI hope it's good...I loved loved loved this book!!!!
ReplyDeleteI loved it, too. I hope the film lives up to all of my expectations. And then some.
DeleteI hope they do the book justice. One of my favorites, too. And one I read because of your recommendation.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I was able to recommend a winner for you. It's one I hope to reread, but maybe I should do it sooner than later. If I read it too close to the release of the movie, I might be more disappointed with the Hollywood version.
DeleteI, too, hope they do the book justice.
ReplyDeleteI may wait to hear what viewers have to say once it's released. I know I'll be torn between wanting see it on the big screen and wanting to keep it in my minds-eye. Sigh.
