  1. I just ordered and received the soundtrack from Silver Lining Playbook - One song in particular I love --North Country by Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash.

  2. He's looking good!! I'm not a big fan of his music but I did listen to some of the tracks and thought they were good.

    1. He does look good, doesn't he? Great genes in our family! ;) I hope I'm as active as he is when I'm in my 70s!

  3. Thank you for this. My eyes are filled up with tears of both joy and sadness. And when I think about it, that's what his songs have always, always done to me. I smile and I cry. Love that man. I'm so grateful I saw him once, from almost the front row. I know I've told you that I was sure he was singin' to me. :<)

    1. Awww, what a lovely comment, Nan. I get a bit teary listening to his older music, too. So many memories of listening to them in my grandparents' home. I remember listening to one album on 8-track as my grandparents drove me and my cousin to their home in Southern CA. We sang along to every song. And the music was always on at my great-aunt's house (KK's mom's). I can't wait to hear this new album!

  4. Well, well. Seventy-six years old. When I hear him, I'm twenty-something and in college. It makes me want a Black Russian. We were there for the beginning - Bobby McGee, Sunday Morning Coming Down, Loving Her Was Easier... We smoked cigarettes and stayed out too late and read Kerouac.

"Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose..." That's truth, right there.

    1. Linda, I think I was about six when I first hear KK's music on my grandmother's record player. I'm pretty sure I had no idea what Best of All Possible Worlds (or The Taker) was about, but I still sung along. ;) His music is such a piece of the fabric of my life and even though we're related, I'm still a bit star-struck.

Just finished listening to Just the Other Side of Nowhere and it took me back to his mother's living room, sprawled out on the floor with my cousin, eating grilled cheese sandwiches and anxious to head next door to swim in the neighbors' pool. Great memories and great songwriting.
