  1. Nice bunch of books, Les! I'm planning on rereading the Tana French books (or maybe just listening to them) later this year. Right now, I'm listening to Peter May's Lewis trilogy (which he wrote a 4th book for - ha!) as a reread. I also want to try French's new books that feature Cal Hooper. Think the third has just come out. Wild Dark Shore is the selection for the afternoon book group that I attend for June. Will get that one read in the next few weeks. I attended that author event in AZ that featured Sujata Massey and her 5th Perveen Mistry book. Am reading that one now and (sigh) don't think it will be my favorite of the series. About halfway through, so it could change a bit. However, I did very much enjoy hearing the author speak. Hope you have a good week! We're getting some rain - yay!

    1. Thanks, Kay! I'm looking forward to re-reading the next book in Tana French's Dublin Murder Squad series (Faithful Place). I didn't think I was interested in her newer books with Cal Hooper, but after reading a few reviews, I think I'll give them a chance. I might have a few of Peter May's books on my TBR shelf, and hope to give them a try later this year. Glad you're getting some rain! We might get some today, but hopefully not tomorrow when we get our roof cleaned. I guess that's not something you have to worry about in TX, right? :)

  2. I loved Wild Dark Shore and the Shannon Bowring series was a great wrap up. Still have Finding Grace on my to-read list!

    1. Nice to see a comment from you, Tina! I've missed you. :) Yes, Wild Dark Shore was such a good book, as were Bowring's. Hope you're having a good weekend, sneeze-free!

    1. Sharon, I hope you enjoy Pete and Alice in Maine. She has a new book coming soon, which I'm looking forward to. It's called The Gulf of Lions and it's set in France.

  4. Are you reading Lacuna right now? I think it is one of Kingsolver's masterpieces that didn't get its proper acclaim. So interesting. I liked The Wild Dark Shore. What a moody, brooding book. I had so many questions as I read it.

  5. You read three books that I've read and I also liked them all! In the Woods, The Likeness, and Wild Dark Shore. Great month!

  6. I've read Pete and Alice in Maine, Where the Forest Meets the River, and In the Woods and consider them all favorites. Can't wait for Caitlyn Shetterly's new novel coming next month! It hasn't been the best reading year for me (though April has been better) and I never even though to making a first quarter list.
