It's important to recognize and remember the good things in life, so I've decided to make a point of jotting down my weekly blessings.
So what made me smile this past week?
- A positive health report from Depoe Bay, Oregon!
- Fresh, inexpensive flowers from Trader Joe's.
- Getting carded!
- Catching up with my girl friends over dinner and drinks.
- A perfectly ripe avocado.
- An amazing steak. Thank you, Julia Child!
- Record-breaking temp (69 degrees!) on January 30th.
- Wearing shorts in January!

Can you believe that you're wearing shorts right now??? This is the craziest weather ever!! The steak sounds yummy and I would love to be carded!! All of it sounds good!

Staci - I still can't get over it! It was lovely again today and yesterday. Unfortunately, we're supposed to get rain & snow (and wind) this weekend. Oh, well. It had to happen. :)
The steak was super easy and delicious. I'll post the recipe next time I make it (gotta include photos, ya know?).
The kid at Trader Joe's was pretty cute. I think he was kind of flirting when he carded me. It was probably shocking when he saw that I was 50. ;)
JoAnn - Well, I had my hair in a ponytail and under a ball cap. Easy in this town to be mistaken for a college student. :)
Kay - Yes, I was so very happy to hear that my stepdad's surgery (pacemaker) went well. Sigh.
The weather has been uncanny hasn't it? I typically stay in for lunch but went out for coffee with a friend yesterday and was hot sitting in the sun (outside). It was glorious.
And yes, I loved the sunset picture you posted last week. ;)
Trish - All good things must come to an end. We got walloped by a huge snow storm Saturday morning. I'm going to post pictures later this afternoon.

Trish - I love those shirts. I have a couple and my favorite says "Biker Chick" with a bicycle instead of a motorcycle. ;)
