Chihuly's glass is some of my favorite artwork. The way it alters light is just so captivating! ... I just don't want to ever be responsible for keeping it dusted.
I'd never seen or heard of Chihuly until were in Dallas. Oh, wait. I take that back. Andi mentioned it and piqued my curiosity. He is an amazing artist, that's for sure!
Wow, what are the balls in the header? They look like crochet balls. And the little boat feels like it is going over the edge. Very, very beautiful and just a bit disturbing at the same time. :<)
I love the boat of balls, too. Thanks so much for bringing this exhibit to my attention, Andi! I'm only sorry that you, Trish and I couldn't have met while I was down there. Next time!
Beautiful!
ReplyDeletePam, my photos don't do this justice! It was amazing in person.
DeleteAmazing!
ReplyDeleteIt most certainly is!

ReplyDeleteThey're glass balls, Nan. Go here for more info about Chihuly. The infinity pool looks out toward the lake, which is very strange to see in person!
DeleteWow! That looks like something out of Dr. Seuss! I love it!

ReplyDeleteThanks, Suzi. The balls in the boat almost remind me of the glass floats from the Oregon coast.
