Yes, we're home! We returned from Oregon on Wednesday evening (actually, more like Thursday morning, as it was 1:30 a.m. when we finally crawled into bed!), only to head back out Friday afternoon to visit some friends in Lathrop, Missouri (a twenty minute drive from Kansas City) for more R&R. I put the camera to great use on both trips and hope to get a few travel blog entries posted in the days to come. I also have 3 book reviews to write and post, not to mention all the blog-hopping I want to do. I've missed everyone!!
But first, an answer to all the inquires regarding the young reader in Victoria. She was engrossed in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I'm surprised nobody guessed that!
Second, a few things I've learned recently...
Just because one has never received a speeding ticket in 30 years of driving does not mean it can't happen! Guess where I'll be on Tuesday and Wednesday evening? Yep, from 6 to 10 I'll be at a Lincoln/Lancaster County S.T.O.P. (Safety Training Option Program) class. Lucky me.
I also learned that it's a good idea to put the camera strap around one's neck while photographing large spiders. That way, when you think said LARGE spider is leaping out toward your face (when in reality, it's only the zoomed-in web that's blowing in the breeze), you won't actually throw the camera on the deck as you run toward the back door! Lucky for me (and the camera), it didn't fall too far or hard on the deck.
