I decided to put this down after a little over 50 pages. Too depressing. If it wasn't an Oprah pick, I'm truly surprised.

Thanks for the comment, Ann. Seems like a lot of people didn't enjoy this book. Wonder why it was so popular a few years ago. Oprah?
