How I Spent My Summer Vacation

Yes, I've been a bit lazy absent lately. This is where I've been, in case anyone's missed me! Thanks, Heidi and Dave, for sharing your gorgeous pool with me and Rod. It's perfect for swimming laps, floating with a book, floating with a cocktail, and cooling off during these hot summer afternoons!

  1. Very cool! My best friend has a pool but there's something wrong with it and they haven't filled it in about 4 years. Darn.

You look so relaxed. So, our pool has been green, green, green. We drained it this weekend and hope to get it back in shape as all the rain we've had made the water unrecoverable with chemicals. Maybe later in the week that will be us. Enjoy!

  6. I have that very pool chair in my pool in Texas! Unfortunately it's been too rainy in TX to swim and too pooless here in NC. :(

But I am glad that you're enjoying a pool. :)

  10. Bookfool - It's been great fun! I love swimming laps almost as much as I love lounging about on the rafts. Sorry your friend has pool troubles. What a shame it's been empty for so long.

Stephanie - Sure! I doubt they'd mind another guest, especially for the Friday Afternoon Club for Girls Only.

Iliana- It's definitely fun times. Thanks. It's turning out to be quite a good summer.

Bellezza - You would love this pool! It's been a great "retreat" in the afternoons when I get finished with work.

Kay - Oh, how I'd love to have a pool, but I sure wouldn't want all the headaches that go along with it. I hope you get yours all squared away soon so you can enjoy it.

Andi - Isn't it pronounced "pewl" in North Carolina? ;)

Yep, TX has had far too much rain. Amy said it rained for something like 40 days straight. Unbelievable weather down there!

Kookiejar - I hope you have a pool to put one of those floaty things in! Yep, it's very relaxing to hang out in a pool The hours just float on by.

Myutopia - Too be honest, I rarely get time to read when I'm in the pool. I'm either swimming laps or chattering away with my friend.

Danielle - Yep, it's very relaxing. Hmm, perhaps I could take our laptop to the pool and catch up on my blog-hopping while sitting in the shade. :)

  18. Meg - This was an old post from last summer (July '07). The book wasn't all that great. You can read my review here.
