4 Year Blogiversary!
I've been busy catching up on my book reviews and just realized that my blogiversary came and went (yesterday). Have I really been blogging for four years?? I had to double-check to be sure. The time has certainly flown by! I want to thank each and every one of you who take the time to stop by and read my reviews, leave comments, and hang in there when I get quiet. To show my appreciation, I'd like to offer a book to four (yes, you read that correctly!) visitors. Just leave me a comment with the title of a book I've reviewed here on my blog. I'll draw four names on March 1st and send you that very book! Be sure to include your email address so I can get in touch with you, should you be one of the lucky winners.

Congrats on 4 years!
ReplyDeleteI love a book giveaway. Let's see...I would have to say Saving CeeCee Honeycutt, just because that one is fresh in my mind.

Has it really been 4 years for you? I can't believe it. Congratulations! You are so dear to me. No need to enter me. As you know, my house would probably sink into the ground with all the books were not Central Texas full of limestone beneath us! :-)
ReplyDeleteAwesome giveaway, Les!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to win Jodi Picoult's Handle With Care.

Gosh, 4 years? That's awesome Les! Do you have any idea how happy I was when you started blogging. I had missed you so much on that ole Yahoo! groups list The Book Spot and was delighted to see you back on the nets reviewing books. Which you do so marvelously, by the way. :)
ReplyDeleteI have to say The Help by Kathryn Stockett because I've been dying to read it and am under a book buying ban and the lines at the library ARE SO VERY LONG!
Here's to many more years sharing books with you. Love ya Les!
Happy blogiversary! Four years is a big accomplishment! I've had Havah by Tosca Lee on my wish list for ages, and you reviewed it last year. wordlily@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteWow, has it been 4 years, already? That means I'm closing in on 4 years, too. Happy Blogiversary, Les!!
ReplyDeleteAnd ditto Pam. Saving CeeCee Honeycutt is on my wishlist. Sorry you didn't enjoy it. I had such a rotten week that I didn't blog-hop one bit. I see you reviewed it. I'll have to dash off to read your review.
Congratulations and Happy Blogiversary to one of my very favorite bloggers ;-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary Les! I feel lucky to have been able to take advantage of your book expertise for more thenb 10 years now. Keep up the good work. I would like to read "Mudbound".
ReplyDeleteLee
And a great blog it is! Here's to the next years . . . .
ReplyDeleteYours is one of the first blogs I read when I first started blogging. I've always enjoyed visiting here. I would love to read 'Losing Julia" by Jonathan Hull or "Havah" by Tosca Lee. I added both to my TBR after reading your recommendations.
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary, Les! And here's to many more years of your very enjoyable posts and reviews!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary. I've been reading for a year or so and enjoy all your posts. One specific one I have saved in my reader is The Sharper Your Knife, the Less You Cry. I love food memoirs. Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Hmm. Coming up with a title is quite difficult, either we've read the same things, or I've gone out and gotten books you've read! So, I am going to say Home Safe by Elizabeth Berg, since it's on your best of list and I haven't read this author!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 4 years, Les!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I am new to the work of blogging and still finding my feet both as a writer and a read - but I find your blog inspiring and enjoy reading it so much. Thanks indeed! Hannah
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary!
ReplyDeleteI read the review carefully and I'm thinking CeeCee is not for me -- too Southern! Besides, I have too many books. :) So, I'll back out of the giveaway and wish you many more years of blogging joy!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on four years! We chose 20th Century Ghosts by Joe Hill as the book we would like to win because it looks like a good "read aloud" and "read together" choice. Thanks and many more successful years.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary! 4 years! That's awesome!
ReplyDeleteYou are my oldest, and dearest, blog friend; I can hardly believe that four years have gone by! You, at least, had the sense to stay put on one platform, consistent with Blogger and your beautiful template. I love your reviews, I love your photographs, I love everything about you. Keep on blogging, friend, for at least another four years.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary! I've enjoyed every post, even if I am often a slob about commenting.
ReplyDelete(I'm not going to enter because I'm overseas and postage rates are out of sight)
Here's to many more years of reading your blog!
How generous! Saving CeeCee Honeycutt....thank you! G_m_bell(at)yahoo(dot)com
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary, Les! Four years is impressive. And I love that through your blog I've been able to keep up our in-person friendship. :)
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm going to pick Home Safe because it's the selection for our book club for next month and because Elizabeth Berg is my favorite contemporary author, as you know. I actually came in today to look up your review of it!
p.s. I finally got around to starting Consuming Passions last night...it's probably been a year or more since I won it here. I'm enjoying it.
Congrats on 4 years! I'm going to say Mudbound since you loved it so much.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 4 years!
ReplyDeleteNo need to enter me for your giveaway.
4 years!!! Congratulations, Les! What a great accomplishment! I look forward to many, many more years. :)
ReplyDeleteHey Les, congrats! Your blog is always interesting, informative, and so well-done with the quotes, the connections, etc. I came by the other day and after reading your post I tried to find a list of the books you've reviewed, and I can't seem to other than the top ten lists. Is that where I should look for a book choice?
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your review of Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford. I had this book from my library once and didn't read it. I wish I had. They seem to have lost their copy and all the reviews I have read sound so great. Happy anniversary.
ReplyDeleteI'm FINALLY getting over here to wish you a Happy Blog-o-versary! I love your blog, Les (and you too!) and I can't imagine the blog community without you in it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the wonderful, kind comments! I apologize for taking so long to respond. I had jury duty last week and am just finally feeling like I've gotten caught up around here.
ReplyDeleteJust a couple of notes:
Bybee, you are more than welcome to enter. I don't mind shipping something over to you!
Nan, sorry. No list of all the books I've reviewed. I haven't gotten around to putting something like that together yet. All I have is my Top Ten lists. Feel free to peruse any of my archived reviews. Any book I've reviewed is eligible for this drawing.
It was nice to see some new faces here! I'll have to pop over and visit your blogs. Thanks for stopping by.
Congratulations on your blogoversary. Many many more to come.
ReplyDeleteFor books the choice is awesome. The Help is my first choice.

Leslie, what a great blog! I can't wait to sit down and read more of your posts! So many things to read, so little time! After talking to you at the store today I did come home and download Mudbound (it had dropped to $9!). I am sure I will see you at the store soon!
ReplyDeleteI guess I will pick Saving CeeCee Honeycutt since that has been on my wish list!
Sara H
Mystica - Thanks for visiting my blog. The Help would be my first choice, too. :)
ReplyDeleteSara - Isn't that the truth. I love working at Barnes, but it sure cuts into my reading time! I'm glad the e-book price dropped for you. I could certainly understand your frustration if it hadn't. Thanks for joining in on the fun here. Stay tuned. I'll announce the four winners next Monday.
Okay, you twisted my arm (the one that holds books, not the one with the page flipping hand): Home Cooking.
