Flashback

I'm heading back to San Diego (Del Mar) for my 30th high school reunion.

Honestly, where did the time go?!

I wonder if I'll recognize anyone!

Les, aren't you gorgeous? Seriously! Is that a lei around your neck? Was that a tradition in California? I think I had some kind of medallion thing for being a member of National Honor Society. It was ugly as I recall. And, how did you get your hat to stay on that far back? Aren't I just full of questions? LOL

Have a fabulous time! You'll be the belle of the ball I suspect.

  3. My 25th is this fall and I'm debating whether to go. Huge graduating class and, honestly, I think I'm in touch with everyone I cared about. Maybe.

  10. Iliana - It was great fun!

Kay - Aren't you sweet! Yes, that's a lei around my neck. As I recall, it was just something a few of us girls decided to do. I don't even remember how we got away with it since it wasn't something all the girls did. My cap was secured with LOTS of bobby pins. :)

Jill - Oh, you should go!! I missed the 25th, but heard it was a lot of fun. I was actually surprised we had so many attending this one, but so many people are still in the area, which makes it easy to get together.

Andi - It was so much fun! And the weather was beyond perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better time.

Diane - It WAS weird. So many memories flooded back from as far as 6th grade (when I moved to S.D.). Some people looked exactly the same, only with a few wrinkles, and others were completely unrecognizeable.

reviewsbylola - Aw, thanks. It was a wonderful weekend!

Staci - In some ways it seems like just yesterday, but in others it feels like a lifetime ago. I'm really happy I went. Lots of great conversations and reconnecting with some wonderful people.

Pam - It was worth it! You should go to your next big one.

Kathy - I had a fantastic time. We're already talking about our 35th! Hey, any excuse to go back to Del Mar!

  11. I really enjoyed my 30-year reunion...it was like suddenly everyone was my friend, all 680-something of them! But that was 10 years ago and I just went to my 40th last month. Wow, I'm so old! Thankfully, most of them are too.

I'm glad you had a great time at your reunion, Les!

  12. Janet - I hope you had a good time at your 40th. I'm really glad I went to my 30th. Of course, I'll take just about any reason to go to Southern CA. :)
