Every Last One

Remember this? I reviewed it here, almost a year ago.

I loved this book. And now it's available in paperback. Isn't that a lovely cover?

Les, I laughed when I saw Diane's comment above. I remember that she didn't like this book. :-)

I, on the other hand, loved it. And yes, the new cover on the paperback is lovely.

  3. I really enjoyed this book as well and still get choked up about it when I think of it.

  4. I love Anna Quindlen. The new edition is lovely. Also, I'm quite intrigued by The Weird Sisters which I see praised almost every where I look. Such great photographs of you and your siblings, you lucky girl; my brother and I love each other, but we're not quite so close.

Did I tell you I bought a new bicycle this weekend? It's a Cannondale, because I needed something light (especially for Bike the Drive in Chicago on May 29), and I really like it. I wanted a racing bike (i.e. thin tires, lighter than air), but I didn't want the head-forward-neck-up position that requires. Ew. I want to be at least semi-comfortable when I ride. :)

  6. Diane - I remember that you didn't care for this one. Oh, well. As you said, it's differences such as these that make reading and bloggers so much fun. :)

Kay - I laughed, too. And, I remember that you loved it, as well.

Coffee and a Book Chick - I haven't sobbed while reading a book like I did with this one in a long time. Probably not since The Book Thief.

Bellezza - I love her, too. Such a talented writer. Yes, you should also read The Weird Sisters. Very well-written. Thanks for your sweet words about the photos of me and my brothers. I am a lucky girl to have such great brothers.

No, you didn't tell me that you bought a bike!!! Jealous!! I'm planning to get a new one this spring, too. I want something lighter/faster than my 20-year-old Trek, but I don't want a racing bike. I'm on limestone bike trails too much and don't want to risk flipping myself into a ditch. I'll have to look at the Cannondales. What model did you get? Is it a hybrid? Did I tell you I'm jealous?!! :)

    Staci - Yes, you do!

  7. Definitely. Much better cover. The other one actually is a little repellant to me, but I'm weird about covers. :)

  8. Nancy - I'm weird about covers, too. I'm tempted to buy this one, just for the pretty cover!

  10. Tina - Oh, this is such an awesome novel. Move it to the top of your TBR stack!!

Thanks for stopping by with your comment. Sorry it's taken me so long to respond. This is a super busy time of year for me and my poor blog is often neglected.
