Nature & Books belong to the eyes that see them.
That is very cool. We get fighter jets over our house every once in a while coming from Selfridge Base south of us.
It's been years since I've seen the Blue Angels, but they always amaze me.
Beautiful capture there Les. I've seen them perform at an airshow - really something to see.
Gorgeous! I have tried to get photos like this, and it is so hard!!
Hey Les!Lucky you to have them fly over your house! I have seen the Red Devils in England and it was something that I will never forget!
Kailana - I was surprised they turned out as well as they did. Those jets don't hold still for a pose! ;)Staci - I never get tired of watching jets fly overhead. We used to live near Miramar in San Diego (where Top Gun was filmed) and there were times when the jets came so low, as they were taking off or landing, that I felt like they were going to crash through our house! I think I was a fighter pilot in another life. :)Kathy - I haven't been to an air show since we lived in San Diego over 20 years ago, but I sure do love watching them when they're in town here and flying over our house. Total cool!Diane - Thanks! I shot a bunch of pictures and was happy some of them turned out. Wish I had a longer lens, though, but these aren't bad. Yep, they are amazing to watch at the shows. I love it when they fly close to one another with a couple upside down and the others right side up. Pam - It is hard! I shot a bunch (and waited a long time outside on the deck for them to fly over!), and kept wishing I had a longer lens. But these are pretty decent.Kay Guest - Hmm, never heard of the Red Devils. Off to Google to check 'em out!
