I hope you're getting some of our cooler temps today, Kay. It's only 81, but it looks like Amy's at 93, so I suspect you're still cookin' down there in Austin!
I know!!!!!!!!!! It will be a scorcher tomorrow and Friday here in Michigan and I'm not looking forward to it all! Except knowing that later on Friday we will be out in the lake on the boat!
Ahhh, to be on a boat would be heavenly! Instead, today (a week and a half after this post!) I'm out on my back deck, reading, sipping something cold and watching the birds at my feeder. They're enjoying the "cooler" temps. Only in the low-80s... for now.
I do love snow. I do love cold weather. But so far the summer has been perfect. A little heat, a little sun, a little rain, a little cloudy, a little cool. No complaints from me at all, so far!
I know you (and Bellezza and Nancy) love winter and the colder temps, Miss Nan. I wish I did as much as you, but I prefer the warmth of the sun. But once it gets over 90 (and the dew point increases), I've had enough. I hope your perfect summer continues on through September!
I may have to save your pictures as my laptop wallpaper so I can stay cool this weekend when your high temperatures and humidity are expected to move into the Boston area!!
Bah, that's terrible. I wouldn't mind the heat without the humidity. Our temps are lower than yours, but our humidity is higher. If we had your temps with our humidity everyone would die...
Just what I wanted to see this morning after a power outage last night and a temp of 105 that tied records here.
ReplyDeleteWell, a week and a half later and still no snow, but at least it's cooled down 20 degrees! :)
DeleteThat makes me feel cooler already:)
ReplyDeleteIt's cloudy and cooler today, but as I mentioned above, still no snow. ;)
DeleteYour pictures are lovely but I'll take heat over snow any day.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kathy. I think I'd have to agree, but I prefer the heat in the 80-90 degree range. Anything higher and I get cranky.
DeleteOh the lovely snow! My car said 106 as I was driving home from work yesterday and it was still over 100 at 10:00 last night. Sigh.

DeleteBelieve me, I'm *always* dreaming about that.
ReplyDeleteYep. You and Bellezza. :)

ReplyDeleteI sure hope it begins to cool down for you, Marcia. I'm enjoying this 80-degree afternoon. Such a pleasant change for the 100+ temps last week!

ReplyDeleteAgreed! I honestly don't mind a "dry heat." It's that darned dew point/humidity that makes me cranky.
