    1. Thanks, Kathy. We practically live out on our porch in the summer. When we're not there, we're on the deck in the back.

    1. Thanks for stopping by, Sarah. I've got your Chapel Hill blog bookmarked for future trips. I have cousins in Durham. My uncle used to teach at Duke.

  4. Aw, I wish I could sit on your porch with you. Even if it is 8 million degrees where either of us live.

    1. I wish you could, too, dear friend! And actually, today (Sunday, July 8) is perfect for porch sitting. Or deck lounging. I'm out on the deck reading The Stand and Tout Sweet. It's cloudy and somewhat cool. (I should be biking, but I'm feeling lazy and want to READ!) All I need is a cocktail with a little umbrella and I can pretend I'm at a fancy-schmancy resort. :)

    1. Diane, we love our porch. Before I even set foot in the house (12 years ago last month), I knew it was the house for us to buy when we moved back to Lincoln from Fort Worth. I fell in love with the porch and knew it was meant to be.

    1. Ah, but don't look too closely. I meant to wash it down this past spring, after the trees and bushes were finished dropping all that yellow pollen all over the floor and chairs. Ha! That never happened. I really need to get out there, though, and do something about the cobwebs up along the ceiling. But, from where I sat when I shot the photo, it's quite nice. The little table, fern and red lantern are all new this year. And, I love my peace sign flag from Oregon. :)
