Wordless Wednesday

sufficiently removes us

so that we can be friends.

  1. I swear she gets more and more beautiful every year. Also more and more like her Mom.

    1. And she's the sweetest little girl and so much fun to have around. We're having a great visit. Last year was one week. This year she's here for two. Now we're talking about a month next summer. The time goes by too quickly!

  2. What a lovely granddaughter, and how blessed you are to have one another. As family, as friends. xo

    1. We are truly blessed. She is such a lovely young lady. Full of life and a joy to be around. We're already talking about a month-long visit next summer, with a possible trip to Chicago during that stay. :)

    1. We are having a wonderful visit, but the time is flying by! This two-week visit is almost half over. :( Next year, we'll try for a month. :)

    1. She's such a great companion. And she loves to cook, which has been a lot of fun for this foodie! We made a menu and grocery list for her 2-week visit and will make a mini cookbook of all the recipes we've tried while she's here, so she can take it home with her. So far, the pad thai and crab cakes are her favorites. I love an adventurous eater!

    1. Thanks, Staci. She is so cute. Last night we were brushing Annie-dog and just hanging out on the living room floor when she put her arms around me and Rod and said, "My two best friends."

  7. She's beautiful... and growing up so fast! The quote is just perfect, too. Don't even need to ask if you're enjoying the visit!

    1. It couldn't be better! We've been cooking, shopping, girls lunch out, fishing, and today (if it doesn't rain!) we'll ride our bikes to the zoo. Baseball game and fireworks are planned for Saturday night. Thank goodness I'm on vacation and can sleep in! ;)

  8. She has such a happy smile, and is a beautiful girl. Do I see nail polish matching her clothes? Chic! Love this photo so much.

    1. She has a happy smile because she's always happy! She's such a sweetheart and we're having a great time together. Yes, her polish matched that outfit. She's much more chic than her Nanny. ;)

  9. She's beautiful! I hope you've been having a wonderful time visiting one another. I have such a strong bond with my grandmother and sometimes ache that we live so far apart (but am grateful that we can see each other as often as we do). Enjoy your time together.

    1. Beautiful and such a sweetheart. We're having the BEST visit with her, but we've decided two weeks just isn't long enough.
