  1. Is the day ten chair facing the living room wall where the high windows are; the fireplace wall? Must be lovely to look up from your reading and see the fire. I missed out on GS cookies this year. Love the Samoas.

    1. Yes! But we haven't used the fireplace in a couple of years. The thermostat is in the same room, so when the room gets too warm, the furnace goes off and, thus, the rest of the house gets super cold. Yes, we can adjust the thermostat and really should. But we need to have the chimney cleaned/inspected before we use the fireplace. It's been too long. How's that for a short answer? ;)

      We should've missed out on the GS cookies, says she who is making plans to use the treadmill as much as possible in the coming weeks. ;)

  2. That's too bad. You'd think they would have put the thermostat in another room, or at least put in different zones so you could turn that one way down.

    1. Well, it is at the far end of the room, but it still gets warm enough in there that the upstairs (and kitchen) gets quite chilly.
