This is very true, JoAnn. Sometimes I think I should get up early on a Saturday or Sunday so I can drive out into the countryside and take sunrise photos. But then I roll over and tell myself maybe next weekend. :) I get up at 5:00 during the week, so my weekends are very precious.
They're all beautiful bu that last one is breathtaking. Isn't it amazing what you can capture with your phone? There have been many times that I've pulled over to snap a shot of a beautiful sunrise.
Thanks, Trish. I agree about the last one. It's my favorite. Yes, I'm amazed that my phone does such a fine job. I really should take my Olympus with me, but then I can't post to Instagram. Well, not as easily. I also have a Nikon Coolpix (which was my stepdad's) that I can throw in my purse, so maybe I'll give that a try. It's not quite as bulky as the Olympus.
Thanks for your kind words. Photography has always been a fun hobby for me and I'm glad I have a decent phone, since I hate to lug my big Olympus around with me. My husband doesn't think his phone camera takes pictures this good either. And guess who has the iPhone? Not me! Mine's a Samsung Galaxy S. I've been very happy with it. If you'd like to see some more photos, feel free to visit my photoblog. I haven't posted there in ages, but I love so many of the images I was able to capture during that year.
Beautiful sunrises sure make getting up early worthwhile!

ReplyDeleteThanks, Andi. As I mentioned to Trish, my favorite is that last one. I love the richness of the colors.
DeleteWow. My phone camera is not this good. Your pictures transport me. Thanks for sharing.

DeleteYeah? It's not the camera, my friend, it's the photographer. Any idiot with a phone could never take pictures this well.
ReplyDeleteGuess which book I read today? Come over and see...xoxo
You are too kind, my friend.
DeleteYay! I'm so glad you're enjoying the book!!
