Quiet Saturday mornings
to plan ahead for the coming week
Neighborhood markets with shady spots
for these two to wait while I run in for ice cream
Roses in September
from my garden
Neighbors with green thumbs
The beauty of zinnias
A new Samsung Galaxy S5
and its amazing camera
Healthier options for my
creamy dressing addiction
Cooler temperatures
and the color yellow
Morning commutes with
breathtaking skies
Autumn rain showers...
Six inches of rain (in 24 hours)
and dry basements
and discovering simple joys
on afternoon walks.
Happy Sunday, friends!

I loved your thankful photos - so beautiful. I guess we do need to stop and smell the roses from time to time -- so much beauty in the small things.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Diane! Yes, it's a good thing to stop and smell the roses. I love sharing these gratitude posts so I can remind myself of all that is good in the world.
DeleteLooking at these photos just made my Monday morning brighter - thanks!
ReplyDeleteAww, and your comment made my day. Thank you, JoAnn!
DeleteLovely!!! Lots to be thankful for! I love zinnias - each one is like a little masterpiece!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pam. Aren't zinnias a cheerful flower? I love that we still have some colorful plants in October!
DeleteWhat a gorgeous post with so many beautiful things. I love those vibrant pink roses! Though I wish y'all would send some cooler weather our way. After having such a "mild" summer, it sure feels like our fall is a bit hotter than normal (still in the 90s!).
ReplyDeleteYou have such a beautiful deck! What a great spot to enjoy the fall.
Thanks so much, Trish. Would you believe my roses are still blooming, even after the frost we've had this past week?! I don't know if you want our cold temps, though. 30 degrees this morning, according to Accuweather! I'll take your 90s!
DeleteWe really should use our deck more when it's just the two of us. We use it a lot when we entertain and grill, but find ourselves hanging out on the front porch when we're having a drink before dinner or after dinner.
I love your flowers!
ReplyDeleteI also would love creamy dressing, but doesn't that have to go on a thing made with greens which requires lots of chopping and washing and preparation? Can you put creamy dressing on an easy to open bag of m and m's?
Thanks, Meredith! My roses are still blooming, as are my neighbors' zinnias, in spite of the two nights of frost this week. I'm really not looking forward to the bare trees and gardens!
DeleteYep, I love salads, but dislike the work involved, although it's really not as time consuming when I can do while enjoying a glass of wine and chatting with my hubby about our day.
Good, those flowers are all so beautiful! I've got to get some later blooming flowers planted.
ReplyDeleteI need to remember to plant some of these zinnias myself, Lisa. I have a couple of spots in the backyard that could benefit from some late-blooming color.
