{Gratitude Lately}

Lately, I've been thankful for

Neighborhood trails
for afternoon walks

Fall colors
with birds chirping

Blue skies,
Smiling at me...

Splashes of red
(Sumac)

Perennials that never fail to please
(Sedum, 'Autumn Joy')

Undemanding lilies

Roses that continue to blooming

Neighborhood parks
for future Husker recruits

Children laughing
in the park

Falling gas prices

Hardy annuals
and garden angels

Former Boy Scouts
who keep my fires burning

and Happy Hour on the patio,
followed by a Husker win!

Happy Sunday, friends!
What are you grateful for this week?

  1. Lovely photos and lots to be thankful for for sure.

I laughed at lower gas prices - here too, but when I got my license gasoline was 30 cents a gallon...LOL

  4. Lesley, I swear we live by the same walk with Ghe same trees. Your first few pictures could be outside my door.

Only, I do t have a Boy Scout to keep my fires burning, you luck.

  5. How great has this fall been?! Flowers still blooming while the leaves are changing and so many evenings warm enough to still be on the patio! If only those gas prices had stayed so low!

    1. With all the wind this weekend, most of the trees are now bare. But at least the temps are still somewhat mild and we haven't seen any of that white stuff yet. :)

    1. This is the only comment that showed up...

Had a great time in California! Would've been even happier if I could have stayed for two weeks instead of just one. Photos to come later today, if I can get my act together.
