Merry Christmas!
It's been quite hectic around here, what with several birthday celebrations and some very long (but fun!) days at work. Sunday was my first day off in two weeks and now we're in for the final day before all the returns & exchanges begin (which I get to avoid this year!). The past couple of days have been a little rough and I'm hopeful that our customers will be on their best behavior tomorrow... patience are beginning to run a bit thin. Thankfully, I get a nice break starting on Christmas Day, as we head to Oregon for some well-deserved R&R. I have nothing on the agenda other than to sleep later than 5 a.m. and read for more than 10 minutes before bed. Can.Not.Wait!
With all the hustle and bustle, though, this poor blog has been sorely neglected. I've fallen behind with my reviews and pretty much failed on the Instagram holiday postings. Oh, well. My shopping is done and my gifts are wrapped and shipped. This photo will have to suffice for a Christmas greeting, though, since we never got around to ordering cards this year. Not the best, but at least we're all smiling. ;)
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a peaceful 2015.

I went to my B & N today (well, one of them)... And it was looney tunes! I usually go every year on Xmas Eve day - but decided to go a day earlier and avoid the parking lot whackos - LOL! Oh, I bought a new Samsung Tablet Nook last Friday night - the smaller one...

I suspect the store has been just as busy now that Christmas is over. Lots of exchanges, returns and purchases with gift cards. So glad I'm on vacation! ;)
DeleteCongrats on your new Samsung Tablet for Nook. They are very cool. I'd get one, but I already have a Samsung S5 phone and have the Nook app on it. Pretty much the same thing, but I can make phone calls. :)
love this photo!!!
ReplyDeleteWe finally figured out the best way to take selfies. I use the timer on the camera so I don't have to try to push the button while holding my phone steady. Duh. :)
DeleteIt's perfect, Les! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joy. Annie agrees. :)
DeleteMerry Christmas, Les!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Deb. Hope you had a great holiday, too!
DeleteMerry Christmas, Les! Enjoy your time in Oregon.
ReplyDeleteThanks, JoAnn! Hope you had a great holiday. We're enjoying our time in Oregon. It's going by far too quickly, though.
DeleteMerry Christmas Les.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Diane! Hope yours was wonderful, too.
DeleteMerry Christmas to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteAnd a Happy New Year to you and yours, Kathy!
DeleteMerry Christmas, Les! I've almost forgotten there is such a thing as writing Christmas cards; it's been years since I have. I feel like a poor friend, neglectful and selfish, but I couldn't muster any extra strength this year with my tooth implant (which ALL had to be taken out Tuesday as it didn't take. Anyway...)
ReplyDeleteIt's not about me, it's about peace and joy of which I hope you have an abundance. Your trips this year have sounded marvelous, and the books you've read bountiful. I've loved your pictures and your posts, as usual since 2006 on.
May you have a blessed day, and every good thing in 2015. Love, Meredith
Meredith, I really do think Christmas cards are a thing of the past. Or they will be pretty soon. So many people keep in touch via Facebook and Instagram, that a card with a letter or photo is a bit redundant. I still miss them, though, and every year I consider writing a letter to share. I sent a few cards out this year, but didn't finish and now it seems silly.
DeleteYou are a wonderful friend, so don't apologize. Life is just so hectic for us working folk! I can't imagine trying to get anything accomplished after dental surgery. I do so hope you are feeling better.
Happy, happy New Year, my dear friend.
xoxo
Hope you're having a lovely visit! One of these times we WILL get together while you're passing through Portland. In the meantime - enjoy your relaxation time.
ReplyDeleteWe're having a lovely time, as always, SuziQ. Yes, one of these times, we WILL get together for a visit. We keep talking about spending the night in Portland after we arrive, since It's such a long day of flying, followed by 3 hours of driving to the coast. If we ever do, maybe we can work in a breakfast or lunch with you.
DeleteMerry Christmas, Lesley, and enjoy your time in Oregon!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lisa! Hope you're having a good week. I hear it's going to get cold... :(
DeleteHope you had a wonderful and beautiful Christmas and are enjoying some rest and reading with loved ones in Oregon. Let the blogging "have tos" go and just enjoy--pop in when you can! Many hugs!!
ReplyDeleteTrish, Christmas was very nice, although we spent the entire day traveling! :) Now we're relaxing, watching football, reading, and sleeping in quite late! The perfect vacation, in my opinion. :) Happy New Year to you!
DeleteHope you are enjoying your much deserved time off! Happy Holidays to you!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Iliana. It was a wonderful get-away. We always enjoy our down time when we're on the coast.
DeleteI hope you all had a wonderful holiday! Happy New Year!!
