Cocktails by the fire
on a beautiful autumn evening
Delicious souvenirs
from an unforgettable vacation
The sweet smell of pipe tobacco
Walks in the park with this goofball
Lifelong friendships that
remain strong in spite of distance
Beautiful sunrises that
make getting up early worthwhile
and sharing my life with this man,
my best friend and husband for 27 years.
It's been over a year since my last Gratitude post. Thank YOU for remaining constant friends and followers while I get my blogging mojo back in gear!
Happy Sunday, friends!

We wonderful reminders of the good things in life.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kathy. I try to focus on the good as often as I can.
DeleteI love this so much. I think I'll do one of these posts myself soon. <3
ReplyDeleteThanks, Andi. Glad you enjoyed it. I "borrowed" the idea from another blogger (Today's Letters). Look forward to seeing yours one of these days!
DeleteJust love this post, but has it really been a year since your last gratitude post?? Where does time go? Happy Sunday, my friend :)
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks JoAnn. I enjoy putting together these posts. Yes, time flies, doesn't it? You'll be in Florida again before you know it!
DeleteNice post Les and a reminder to us all to appreciate the simple pleasures we have each day.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Diane. I have a lot to be thankful for.
DeleteWhat a great fall we've had - just picked tomatoes yesterday still and I have flowers still blooming. Wish it would just stay this way until May!
ReplyDeleteIt's been a wonderful fall, hasn't it, Lisa? And now we're supposed to get a little snow tonight? Guess it had to happen sometime, right? I guess I'd rather have snow than ice. And, I suppose that's the last of my roses... :(
DeleteLove all the warm fuzzies!!! :) AND, so happy you are back!
ReplyDeleteGet the audio of The Boys in the Boat. I thought it was very good and think you will, too. However, I get how the timing has to be just right. :)
Thank you, thank you, dear friend!! It feels good to be back. My reviews are short and sweet and I'm not worry about how often I post (and I'm certainly not looking at my stats!). It's just nice to be chatting with all of my book buddies once again. :)
DeleteI'm definitely going to wait and listen to The Boys in the Boy. Just couldn't get interested in the print version. First things first, though. I'm listening to The Martian (on CD) in my car and The Girl in the Spider's Web on my Nano. Now to find a print book to read at bedtime...
Thanks again for the warm welcome back. Much appreciated!
Thanks, Vicki. I'd like to make this a weekly post, but we'll see. Once winter rolls around, I don't take as many pictures.
