Wow, you had a fabulous month! I'm going to finish up my 8th, today. I haven't heard of most of the titles you read, although I think I may have The Nightingale in e-book form. Will have to look. Everyone seems to love it.
ReplyDeleteI know, can you believe I read that many books?! Might be close to a record for me. I've switched up my weekend routine, so I'm doing more chores after work, so I have more free time on the weekends. Only took me 9 years to figure that out! ;)
DeleteI have heard really good things about THE NIGHTINGALE. I definitely want to get to it at some point.
ReplyDeleteIt's really quite good and it tugged at my heartstrings. Not lyrical, but a good story.
DeleteLooks like you had an awesome month! I have The Nightingale on my TBR list. Oh and that picture of the pup - too cute!
ReplyDeleteIt was a pretty amazing month! Of course, I'm behind with my reviews by about 6 months...
DeleteYes, that "pup" is quite adorable. We got lucky!
I have the Abigail Thomas, and another of hers, Safekeeping, neither of which I've read yet. Surprised about the low marks for the Tana French. I thought you loved her stuff. As you know, I read the first and kinda liked it, but could.not.read the second one. I think she's a 'little' dark for me. ;<)
ReplyDeleteOooh, I don't recall ever seeing Safekeeping! I really liked What Comes Next and How to Like It, so I'll have to see about getting a copy of the other.
DeleteYeah, I'm a big fan of Tana French's mystery/thrillers, but this one really fell short of my expectations. I've talked with a few friends who read it as well and they had a similar reaction. Hopefully the next one she writes will be back on track.
