Wordless Wednesday

The wonders of the Grand Canyon cannot be adequately represented in symbols of speech, nor by speech itself. The resources of the graphic art are taxed beyond their powers in attempting to portray its features. Language and illustration combined must fail. ~ John Wesley Powell

  2. So beautiful! We've never been there - as yet anyway. One day maybe.

    1. Oh, Kay. You guys really need to see it! It's truly an amazing sight! There's a lovely place you could stay. It's called El Tovar and it's right on the South Rim. You would love it. And the walking you could do! :) Sadly, I don't think there's anywhere to play golf, although I could be wrong.

    1. Diane, we hadn't planned to visit the Grand Canyon until someone urged us to go since we were going to be so close while on this trip. I'm so glad we did! It was almost life-altering, it is so beautiful. The pictures don't do it justice.

  7. I always love your coffee cup photos!

I have to wonder if this is an older pic as it looks like hubby is clean shaven?

Thanks for sharing your beautiful pics!

    1. I have fun with those coffee cup photos. :) Nope, not an older picture. My hubby is just in "vacation" mode these days. He'll probably shave when we get home at the end of October. :) Thanks for you lovely comments, Lisa.

  8. Wow. These are wonderful pictures. Oddly, my sister and her husband just went to the Grand Canyon. I wonder if you passed each other on one of the hiking trails...

So glad you had a great time.

    1. Deb, thanks so much. It's an incredibly gorgeous National Park. I know this won't be my only visit. Too funny if we passed your sister and her husband while we were there. :)
