Favorite TV Series Viewed in 2024

We watch an episode of a TV series almost every night, and this past year there were quite a few winners. I'd be hard pressed to say which of these is my favorite as they are all outstanding.

  1. Ripley was exceptional. And I got a little tired of the Crown but we stayed until the end. We just dumped HULU to pick up Peacock so we have The Day of the Jackal on our watchlist. Our new nightly watch is Lockerbie.

    1. Sharon, I got a bit tired of The Crown, too, but thought the last episode was well done. Enjoy Day of the Jackal. I'm still thinking about it and look forward to a second season. We might start watching Lockerbie now that we've finished The Diplomat (which is outstanding).

  2. I should keep a record of what we watch. We've just now found Vera at my library. It's interesting, but I have not seen any of the series you have listed for 2024!

    1. Deb, I started keeping track of what we've watched since it's hard to remember some of the shows or how many seasons we've viewed. We enjoyed Vera (just watched the last season this week), but it took a few episodes in the first season to warm up to her personality. The show will be on my list for 2025.

  3. We watched all of these except Shrinking and Jackal (one episode). I was surprised by how good Ripley was / we watched it near the end of the year. It was excellent -- the acting / the story / the setting! Maybe it was the small gem of the year and I wasn't even planning on watching it -- but Robert had watched one episode and said it was good, so we did. Glad you also said it was.

    1. Susan, I agree with you about Ripley. Part of my enjoyment was the black & white cinemaphotography. Very moody! Loved the setting, too.
