Top Ten Tuesday - Books on My Fall 2025 To-Read List

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Top Ten Tuesday was originally created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week's topic focuses on our fall reading lists. Oh, how I love list-making! I like to work my way through a specific stack of books and creating a list helps keep me on track.

I doubt I'll read all of these this fall since I usually spend November reading nonfiction. A few of these books are carry-overs from my summer reading challenge. It would be nice to knock them off my list, but they're pretty long and I'm tempted to start with some shorter books.

Have you read any of these, and if so, which do you recommend? I know The Correspondent has been very popular and I may start with that.

  1. List making is the best part! Lol. I just reviewed the Virginia Evans book and I'd like to get to The Names novel. I will see what you have to say about the rest. You vet them and we read them, lol.

    1. Susan, list-making is just as much fun as planning a road trip. :) I'm behind in my blog-hopping, but look forward to reading your thoughts (and Tina's) on The Correspondent.

  2. The Grey Wolf was on someone else’s list this week as well. Enjoy!

  3. The Lacuna and Song of Achilles are fantastic. I haven't read the others but I'm intrigued by some of the covers. Enjoy your reading! My list is at https://thebookstop.wordpress.com/2025/09/23/reading-by-ratings-books-i-own-that-i-need-to-read/.

    1. Curlygeek, I've heard great things about both of those books. The Lacuna is the only book by Kingsolver that I have not yet read. I'll pop over and check out your list later today. Thanks for stopping by!

  4. I love your cover pic of the coastline, I could look at that all day!
I also like the look of The Correspondent, the two Robins intrigue me about it.

  5. The only one I've read is The Grey Wolf. What I will tell you is that her newest book will be out at the end of October and it's title is 'The Black Wolf'. Might save that one because the new book will continue an overarching story. I want to read The Correspondent at some point. Enjoy!

    1. Kay, I know my mom will be reading the new release, so I'll probably wait to read The Grey Wolf closer to that time so I can read them back-to-back. It sure feels like it's been a long time since I've read a Three Pines mystery! I'm super excited about The Correspondent, too.

    Happy TTT!

    1. Susan, I got caught up a few years ago, but for some reason I wasn't compelled to dive into The Grey Wolf when it was released. Now I'll have it to read right before her new book comes out.

  8. I love making lists too! I can't be without a notebook of some kind. That's a great goal list of books to read and I have The Names on my library holds right now. Hoping to get to that one before the year is out. Will check out your other titles on Goodreads.

    1. Tina, we must be kindred spirits! :) My mom really enjoyed The Names, so I'll probably read that right after I read The Correspondent. Those two are calling to me!

  9. I loved The Song of Achilles and I hope you enjoy it too! I've heard good things about The Names and I tried the audio for Orbital but it didn't work for me so I want to try again but in print. I hope you enjoy all of your reads :)

    1. Veros, I read and enjoyed Circe, so I'm looking forward to The Song of Achilles. My mom (92 years old!) read and enjoyed The Names. I'm eager to dive into that one, too. Sorry Orbital didn't work for you. It's our book group selection for October, so I'll get to it in another few weeks. Thanks for stopping by!

  10. I really liked The Correspondent and The Names.

I love it that you are officially joining in for TTT. It would be great if you feel like it to link up to Sunday Salon, too!

    1. Deb, those two books are at the top of my list for October!

TTT is fun, especially since I love to make lists/collages. I'll think about Sunday Salon. With my monthly wrap-up, though, I don't want to be too repetitive.
