Nonfiction November 2025 Results

What I Read in November!

Original Selections for 2025

I am very pleased with my results for this year's Nonfiction November reading challenge. I chose nothing but memoirs, and managed to read seven of the ten selections. I gave up on one and ran out of time for the last two, but overall it was a great month of reading. Click on the links for my reviews.

Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life by Amy Krouse Rosenthal (4/5)

Memorial Days by Geraldine Brooks (4.5/5)

I Am I Am I Am: Seventeen Brushes with Death by Maggie O'Farrell (4.5/5)

Truth & Beauty: A Friendship by Ann Patchett (3/5)

One of the nice things about this challenge is that I get to discover a lot of nonfiction books that appeal to me. Here are a few that I've added to my TBR list:

    1. Thanks, Deb. It was a great (and fun!) month of reading nonfiction/memoirs. Next year, I hope to focus on more history and sociology type books for this challenge.

  2. You had a great nonfiction reading month. Memorial Days really stood out for me too and I've thought about it for quite a bit after. I got a library copy of The Ship Beneath the Ice book & have browsed it but it's a bit more of a commitment right now than I'm ready for in December. Still I might read another time. I have read The Indifferent Stars Above and that's a pretty eye-opening read. My review https://www.thecuecard.com/?s=the+indifferent+stars

    1. Thanks so much, Anne. I think I'll reflect on I Am I Am I Am over the next few months. Maybe I can convince my book group to read it in 2026. Thanks very much for stopping by and commenting.
