Favorite TV Series & Films 2025
Of all of these shows my top picks are The Pitt, Shrinking, Bad Sisters, Black Doves, and Severance. The Diplomat is very good, but I didn't love the third season. Train Dreams is an exceptional, albeit heartbreaking, film.
There's several good ones I haven't seen (since we don't get Netflix) like Train Dreams and Death Lightning. I liked Bad Sisters and The White Lotus (crazy!). We still need to watch Becoming Katharine Graham. I think sadly she'd be rolling in her grave if she knew what Bezos has done to her beloved Post this past week. What an enabler! He blew it. Thx for these.
Susan, too bad you don't have Netflix. Train Dreams is so good! Yes, The White Lotus is a wild show. I don't watch it with my mom or husband... Yes, Katherine Graham would be livid about Bezos, I think.
We haven't watched many of these, but we don't have Netflix anymore. We have watched Ludwig and we watched Person Of Interest when it was on regular TV a number of years ago. We watched the new Maigret a few weeks ago.
Kay, we'll probably watch another season of Person of Interest in a few weeks. We're almost finished with season 2 of The Night Manager, which is pretty intense!
Sometimes we indulge in a pizza with tv in the evening, and our one attempt at The Pitt fell during that time. Pizza and The Pitt, we soon discovered, do not mix!
Tina, we probably wouldn't have so many streaming services if we weren't living with my mom. She has some that she pays for and we have some others. I have T-Mobile for my cell service and get a discount on some.
We started Task (HBO) a couple of nights ago and are enjoying it so far. It reminds me a little bit of Mare of Easttown.

ReplyDeleteLol, Deb! Yes, I have had to turn my gaze away from teh TV a few times while watching The Pitt!
DeleteI see a few shows we have liked and are awaiting the new season. We only have Apple and Amazon.
