I See the Moon...

The Moon

That orbed' maiden
With white fire laden
Whom mortals call the Moon.
- Shelley

I took this photograph yesterday morning. It was a whopping 7 degrees.

O, Les, wasn't this a lovely one! On the 5th we were driving along, and it was huge and yellow/orange. I wish I'd had my camera. Thanks for the photo, and the literary connection. :<)

  2. This is a beautiful picture.

Everytime I see the moon so clear and bright and see the title "I see the moon..." I think of the little rhyme we would say with our kids (actually we still say it on occasion):

    I see the moon,
    And the moon sees me,
    God bless the moon,
    And God bless me.

Hasn't the moon been gorgeous. In the winter there isn't that humid haze. Everything seems crisp and clear. I thought 27 degrees was cold. You were downright frigid.

  4. Nan - Yes, the moon has been gorgeous! I haven't been successful with nighttime shots, so I was thrilled to get a decent one in the early morning hours. It just seemed to have "Winter" Morning" written all over it.

Joy - I was actually going to use that little rhyme. I stumbled on the other as I was wandering around Google and opted for the Shelley instead.

Janet - It has been very cold but today it's a balmy 50 degrees! Good day to rake more leaves, get the recyling off to the neighborhood center, and hit the bike trail with my camera.

  6. Thanks, Carl. Thank goodness our temps don't stay that low for very long. We're back in the 30s and 40s again.
