TGIF - Cheers!

Hurray for beautiful weather! We enjoyed these delicious Adirondack Margaritas last weekend, and I suspect a fresh batch will be mixed up tonight. Here's to good friends, sunny skies, engrossing books, and my wonderful birthday guy.

  3. Wow - those Margaritas look soooo good, I've just got in after a gruelling day in the Family Court and a Margarita would loosen me up perfectly! Alas, alack, no tequila in the house so a G&T will have to suffice, but I'll be shopping for tequila tomorrow as this is the May Bank Holiday weekend here in the UK and lots of gardening to be done. We'll need refreshment. Cheers

  10. So, who gets the salted glass and who goes saltless?

  11. Heather - I love margaritas, too. It won't be too much longer before you can have one! You're past the halfway point now.

Stephanie - Ah, nothing liking spring to inspire one to go outside and dig in the dirt. We couldn't do any yardwork this weekend due to the amazing storms we've had. The ground is pretty boggy after all the heavy downpours.

herschelian - Welcome to my blog! It's always nice to see a new face from a fellow blogger's site. Hope you enjoyed your Bank Holiday weekend and were able to try the margaritas. Off to peruse your blog... ok, I just noticed The Kite Runner is one of your favorite books. Did you see my review for his second novel, A Thousand Splendid Suns? Fantastic book!!

Sheri - Um, great minds think alike? ;)

Lotus - They are quite tasty, especially on a hot summer day. Unfortunately, it's been a bit damp (that's quite an understatement!) this weekend, so no cocktails on the deck. Thanks for the birthday wishes for my hubby. I think he had a lovely day.

Iliana - I've been watching your weather a lot since my daughter's in Dallas. Even have the Star-Telegram bookmarked in my toolbar. Freaky weather is right!! However, we're getting it, too. Last night was pretty intense. Lots of heavy, heavy rain and thunder & lightning. No tornado, though, thank goodness. Stay safe!

Karen - They're quite delicious! It's been a fairly nice weekend, thus far, although I'd prefer a little less rain in one day, thankyouverymuch. I think my raingage has overflowed at 6" in 24 hours!

Nan - Thank you, dear. I passed along the good wishes. I think he enjoyed his day quite well. Bought himself a new motorcycle!

Bybee - They can fix that! They definitely quench one's thirst.

Bellezza - I generally prefer to go saltless, especially with these since they're made with a fruit juice base. When we get regular margaritas at our favorite Mexican restaurant, I'll occasionally get salt, but always on the rocks. Rod likes his blended. The man has never, ever had a brain-freeze!

  12. How can you retain water if you don't have any salt? :)
