A Month In Review - July ('08)

Yet another light month! I probably would have gotten at least one more book read if I hadn't spent so much time on Three Cups of Tea! That book alone took two weeks to get through. Then, of course, there's all the outdoor activities (fishing, biking, kayaking, walking the dog, weeding, watering, etc.) that have kept me from my reading. But winter will be here before I know it and I'll have lots more time to curl up with a book!

Odd Hours by Dean Koontz - DNF

Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin (2.5/5)

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows (4.75/5)

  1. I say keep enjoying the outdoor activities - sounds like a lot of fun... well, maybe not the weeding ;)

I've been indoors a lot this summer but I'm in Texas so that explains it. ha. I'm adding Geurnesy Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society book to my list! (what a title - I'll never remember it).

  2. Iliana - I will, once it cools down a bit. It may not be as hot as it is in TX, but we hit 102 yesterday and there's no way I'm going kayaking or biking in that kind of heat!

Yep, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society is quite a name, isn't it?! I wonder what other names were thrown around before settling on that! Although, it is an integral part of the story, so I guess there was no other option.
