  14. Oh, Lesley, I'm so happy for you. What a wonderful thing a good marriage is, and very rare: a testimiony to the both of you! Congratulations on arriving at twenty years, and my you have at least that many more. (A couple at our church celebrated their SEVENTIETH last Sunday!)

  15. Thank you all for your kind comments. Especially you, Rod. :)

Lee - I'd have to guess somewhere around 2,000. I've only been keeping track of my totals since 1999. Prior to that, I know I wasn't reading nearly as much as I am (or have been in recent years). Rod reads such big books, it's hard to guess the annual numbers. One month he may read 1 or 2 (but they're huge history/bio books) and other months he may read 2-3 novels/week.

Nancy - Rod's always trying to convince me that a ferret would make a great pet. He thinks every dog or cat we've ever owned would love one as a companion.

    Not gonna happen. ;)

  16. LOL That's great. I hear they have a delightful (joke, joke) musky odor. We actually considered getting a ferret, when we were newlyweds, and then read up and decided that was a really bad idea. :)

  19. Kim - Aw, thanks. I'm glad we found each other, too. :)

Iliana - Thanks for your belated good wishes. We're planning to take an Alaskan Cruise in the next year or so, so we'll continue to celebrate this anniversary for quite a while yet! :)
