Thanks everyone! Shaylyn was quite interested in Grandpa's Kindle. However, she was perfectly content to go back to her "real" book -- The Five Little Peppers and How They Grew. :)
Love all the pictures, especially that one of Grandpa looking at his darling granddaughter. It makes me just a bit sad, tho. Almost like he's thinking about how fleeting these tender moments are.
so what do you think of Kindle, really? should we try it? be open to it? I just got a book today. I haven't started reading it, but I've held it and admired the paper and the cover. I kept it in my purse where I could look down at it from my desk chair and feel excited about reading it tonight.
So, will Kindle work out? Will I concentrate more on the writing simply because there's no book/paper aesthetic to relate to?
Booklogged - These are bittersweet to me, too. She's so much like her mama.
As far as liking the Kindle, yes, I think he really enjoys it. In addition to books, he can now read the Washington Post daily. I still don't think it's for me, though. I like my "real" books. :)
Oh - As I mentioned to Booklogged, I think I still prefer regular books. But then I haven't spent much time playing around with the Kindle. I have so many unread books stacked up around the house, I would really feel guilty if I started buying more to read on a Kindle.
AW! Adorable.
ReplyDeleteThey're so savvy. It's unbelievable.
ReplyDeleteI love the pics! So does she like the Kindle?
ReplyDeleteI love this picture Les... It brings tears to my eyes.
