  7. Thanks everyone! Shaylyn was quite interested in Grandpa's Kindle. However, she was perfectly content to go back to her "real" book -- The Five Little Peppers and How They Grew. :)

  8. Love all the pictures, especially that one of Grandpa looking at his darling granddaughter. It makes me just a bit sad, tho. Almost like he's thinking about how fleeting these tender moments are.

    Does Rod like his Kindle?

  9. so what do you think of Kindle, really? should we try it? be open to it? I just got a book today. I haven't started reading it, but I've held it and admired the paper and the cover. I kept it in my purse where I could look down at it from my desk chair and feel excited about reading it tonight.

So, will Kindle work out? Will I concentrate more on the writing simply because there's no book/paper aesthetic to relate to?

    interested in your thoughts...

  10. Booklogged - These are bittersweet to me, too. She's so much like her mama.

As far as liking the Kindle, yes, I think he really enjoys it. In addition to books, he can now read the Washington Post daily. I still don't think it's for me, though. I like my "real" books. :)

Oh - As I mentioned to Booklogged, I think I still prefer regular books. But then I haven't spent much time playing around with the Kindle. I have so many unread books stacked up around the house, I would really feel guilty if I started buying more to read on a Kindle.
