Kathy, we usually get at least 3-4 inches of rain each month during the summer. This year we just barely got a quarter-of-an-inch in June & July. No totals in yet for August. It's been very, very dry. We're in a drought here.
You have had quite a bit more rain than we have, but I'll take whatever Mother Nature decides to give us. Sure wonder what this dry summer means for winter, though...
Me, too! Everything looked so clean and fresh after the rain. And all the plants and trees perked up a bit. I'm even seeing some new grown on some trees. This is the time of year when the leaves start to fall, not grow!
I'm guessing you haven't had rain in a while. It seems to come in bunches around here - we either get a lot of it or none at all.

DeleteAs I sat here this morning visiting blogs we got about 10 minutes of good hard rain with more promised throughout the day. Glorious!!!

DeleteYou guys got a lot of rain yesterday!
ReplyDeleteFinally!!
DeleteThanks for stopping by with your comment. Nice to see another Nebraskan here. :)
We had a lot of rain in a short period a few weeks ago, but really needed it as well. Great shots Les.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Diane. We still need more, but at least our temps aren't as awful as they were in July and August.
DeleteWhen we get rain I use at least 8 exclamation points as well. ;) None in the forecast for us now but we did have a couple of rainy weekends. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI really have to force myself to cut back on the exclamation points, Trish! Seems like every sentence calls for at least a half dozen!!! ;)
DeleteNo no no--don't cut back. World needs more !!! ;)
DeleteOK, but maybe I need to cut back on the ;) and :)
