Wine Ridge RV Resort & Cottages
Pahrump, Nevada
It was nice to have two nights reserved here so we could make a grocery run, fill our propane tank, catch up on some laundry, go for a swim, get a movie (Deadpool 2) from Redbox, and just relax.
I was almost tempted to go for an early
morning swim, but the air was still a little too cool.
A small vineyard on the property.
We planned to try the wine, but never got around to it.
The Resting Spring Range
and the Nopah Range (in the west).
A jet flew over as I watched the sunrise
on the 17th anniversary of 9/11.
Another day for a nice swim.
Salmon on the grill.
Another beautiful star-filled sky
(which my camera failed to capture).
(which my camera failed to capture).
Those mountains in the background are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteKathy, aren't they though?! I was so happy to see mountains after so much desolation! ;)
DeleteThis looks like a peaceful time for both of you!
ReplyDeleteKay, it was a nice break and very peaceful.
DeleteBeautiful photos! Let me know if you have any free time in Dallas. I assume I'm catching this while y'all are on the way here. I hope! lol
ReplyDeleteThanks, Andi! I wish we were going to be in the Dallas area but Amy has moved to San Diego, so we aren't going to head north. Just in New Braunfels with our friends for four days. I was telling Rod that I have so many blogging friends in TX (you, Kay, Iliana, Trish and Deb Nance) that we will have to come back so I can get together with all of you! sorry it won't work out this time around. :(
DeleteI’m not really sure how people take pictures at night. Do they have special cameras?
ReplyDeleteYou really must plan another trip to Texas and this time we will all have to get together for some good old visiting time. The Texas Book Festival is amazing and it’s at the end of October. Just sayin’.
Deb, I'm not sure if you can take a good shot of the night sky with a cellphone, but I'm pretty sure a decent digital camera/SLR would do the job. I just don't know what settings to use. And, I don't have a tripod with me and I'm pretty sure that's a necessity. Oh, well! :)
ReplyDeleteWe will certainly plan another trip to Texas, although I'm not sure we'll drive out with the RV. ;) It's a long, long trip. We do want to return and visit our friends in New Braunfels, so we'll try to make time for a blogger meet-up!
