  3. Yep, Route 66 - what was the saying or song 'get your kicks on Route 66'. Ha! Great pictures and we love northern New Mexico too. We once had to stop in Albuquerque to get a new tire for my husband's car. We were driving back from Southwestern Colorado. It was a major pain, but at least we were able to find a tire.

    1. Kay, we've seen quite a bit of Route 66 on this trip. I enjoy driving on the smaller highways and stay clear of the major interstates as much as possible. Sometimes, I just have to brave, though. ;) I40 wasn't too horrible once I got away from the big cities. The Texas highways (84 and 87) have been wonderful. Smooth and two lanes each direction. My kind of travelin'.

    1. Thanks, Candace. We've had such gorgeous weather with the exception of our one day in Sedona and last night, when it poured and wind howled all night long while we were in Lubbock, TX. It was not a restful night!
