Blue Heron RV Park
Here are a few more photos from our stay along the Klamath River. I really enjoyed watching the great blue heron, as it fished along the banks of the river. Although there wasn't a lot to do other than sit and relax (or hike up the hill behind the park), it was one of our favorite places to camp.

The blue heron photos are wonderful! Klamath River area seems like beautiful country and a great place to road trip. We've gone down the coast of California from San Fran to L.A. along coastal Hwy 1 ... but sometime I'd like to drive north from Bodega Bay to Oregon. Have you done that whole thing?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susan! I spent a lot of time relaxing by the river, watching that heron. This was a lovely spot to camp and we look forward to returning once we are able to get back out on the road in our RV. Probably not until September, though. The campgrounds are getting too busy and we typically wait until after summer. We've driven up and down Hwy 101 from the Oregon border to L.A., but we haven't taken the RV on Hwy 1 (other than a little bit by Bodega Bay). I've been on Hwy 1 in a car (years ago), but not with the RV. One of these days!
