Music Monday - Taking a Break
Due to an unfortunate mishap on his bicycle, Rod is taking a break (pun intended) from Music Monday. "Closed fracture of proximal end of left humerus." Translation: Two broken bones in his upper left arm, near his shoulder. We see the orthopedic specialist tomorrow afternoon.
OMG, so sorry for Rob. My 54 year niece did the same or similar to her right arm (thrown from a horse) and needs surgery.
ReplyDeleteDiane, we saw the orthopedic doctor today and thankfully Rod will not need surgery. It's a long and painful recovery, but I'm glad he doesn't have to go back to the hospital! I'm sorry about your niece. I've never broken a bone and it sure sounds (and looks!) awful.
DeleteOh no! Hope all goes well tomorrow and that Rod's recovery is speedy! You guys take care!!!
ReplyDeleteKay, it went as well as can be expected. No surgery and he got a better sling and better pain meds. Now maybe we'll both be able to get a full night's sleep.
DeleteI hope his healing goes well. And I was just thinking of getting back on my bike....
ReplyDeleteDeb, I hope it goes well, too. I hate to see him in so much pain. :( I'm still riding my bike, but after his fall, I will be better about wearing my helmet. I am lazy about that, but was so glad he was wearing his when he fell!
DeleteOh no. I'm so sorry to hear this. Heal well and quickly, Rod! I'll look forward to when you resume playing your guitar.
ReplyDeleteLaurel, you may just have to listen to the archives. :) It's going to be a month or so at least... :( Thanks for the good thoughts.
DeleteSo sorry to hear this happened to Rod and really hoping for a speedy recovery!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Iliana. I hope it's speedy, too. I hate to see him suffer so much. :(
DeleteOh so sorry and hope he feels better soon. Ugh how painful.
ReplyDeleteSusan, it is quite painful for him. I hope he doesn't have to suffer for too much longer...
DeleteOh no! That's not good news! Hope he makes a full and speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marg. It's going to be a long six weeks, I'm afraid.
