Aren't they beautiful, Jenclair? The one on the bottom is a poppy! My friend has the most spectacular garden and I was so impressed with this delicate blossom. The hydrangeas are in our garden.
Lovely! I have pink and blue hydrangeas (light and dark) I had purple at our other house which I have not been able to replicate - must be the soil here.
Diane, we have pink, blue and purple hydrangeas. The pink ones are in a pot and the others are in various spots in our yard. They grow so well here, although the slugs sure do love them!
Thanks, Deb. My mom's garden has several hydrangea bushes, which I love. The poppy (in the bottom two photos) is in my friend's garden, which is stunning. She isn't classified as a Master Gardener, but she should be!
Beautiful. Just like everyone else here, I love hydrangeas. We planted two here in my folks' yard, and they have gorgeous deep pink blossoms. I know there are some varieties that change color depending on the acidity/alkalinity of the soil...now I'm curious as to whether all of them do that! I have to go do some research. :-)
So pretty! Our flowers seem to be struggling this year more so than others but we've been having a bit of rain here and there and hopefully that will help them.
Iliana, I'm sure it's difficult to keep things blooming with your hot temps. My plants always did well in the spring, when we lived in Nebraska, but by July they were done!
Have I told you how much I love the flowers in Oregon? Yes I have. And I do. :-)
ReplyDeleteMe too, Kay!
DeleteBeautiful blues! I love hydrangeas, but what is the bottom plant? It looks like crepe paper and has such a lovely deep blue.

DeleteWow. Look at those flowers. I'm just starting to learn about flowers. These are beautiful.

DeleteGlorious! Love the hydrangeas. I used to have them in Virginia ... I need to get one for here..
ReplyDeleteSusan, we had some in Nebraska, but they sure suffered in the heat! The oakleaf hydrangeas did much better than the regular varieties.

ReplyDeleteLaurel, aren't they just the most gorgeous plants? We have deep blue, pale blue, deep rose and pink.
DeleteBeautiful
ReplyDeleteI agree, Marg!
