Not-So-Wordless Wednesday
A cycling class followed by a cool-down (virtual) ride thru the Olympic National Park, fish tacos (take-out) from The Taphouse, a walk along the bluff (king tide with huge waves), and enjoying a drink with my loving family, with a warm fire blazing, made for a very nice birthday. Thanks for all the messages, calls, emails and cards. I feel very blessed.

WOW, very nice Les. Happy Birthday my fellow Sagittarius. My birthday was yesterday, also a very nice day.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday to you, Diane! I'm glad you had a nice day, too. Pandemic birthdays are a bit strange, aren't they?
DeleteWhat a wonderful look at your special day! Loved it! I also love that 'cooldown' scenery!
ReplyDeleteKay, there are so many beautiful scenic rides on the Peloton. I may never get to Italy or France, but I can ride my bike there... virtually!
DeleteThat bike is one cool machine! Lucky you. The Peloton seem perfect for lockdown & winter. & I like all the sights you get to see on it. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteSusan, it really is a great machine! I look forward to riding at least 5 days a week, even when the weather nice and I can get outside for my walks. Now those are more relaxed since the bike where I get my exercise. Today I rode through Rhône-Alpes France. It was gorgeous!
DeleteHappy Birthday!! What a wonderful way to spend it. I love fish tacos and yes, they could have given you more avocado for goodness sake! That fire does look cozy.
ReplyDeleteI am currently making myself a breakfast sandwich and then waiting for it to get a little warmer so I can take the pup on our walk. It's 45 right now. Too cold for her (and me).
Thanks, Ti. It was a good birthday! As far as those avocados, I guess they just didn't have any that were ripe. They usually put a lot more slices on those tacos. Brrr. 45 is chilly! Our temps have been in the upper 40s/lower 50s, but with all the rain, it's been too damp and cold to go walking this week.
DeleteHappy belated birthday! The peloton looks great, when I clear more space out I really fancy one! I love how you can ride through different landscapes!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Heather! The Peloton is wonderful. In addition to cycling, there are a lot of classes that you can take (using the app) for yoga, strength training, walking, meditation, etc. I was taking a lot of on-demand cycling classes, but now I'm enjoying the scenic routes (so I can listen to my audiobooks while riding). I hope you find space for one.
DeleteWhat a lovely birthday! I'm a Sagittarius, too (December 11th)—one more thing we have in common! Happy belated birthday! Your home looks so cozy and festive for the holidays. Hugs from Florida!
ReplyDeleteWell, Happy Belated Birthday to you, Laurel! I have several friends and relatives (including my daughter, who was born on the 10th) who were born in December. Hope you had a lovely birthday and that you are enjoying this week leading up to Christmas. Cheers!
DeleteHappy belated birthday! I'm glad you're enjoying your Peloton!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jen! The Peloton actually makes exercising fun. :)
