This is my favorite Monet painting, and the verse is a harbinger of hope! (I was fortunate enough to see it at the Art Institute of Chicago years ago; while everyone was admiring his haystacks, I was transfixed by the Magpie.)
Why am I not surprised, Meredith? It's one of my favorite Monet's, too. I wish this showed the full image, but it would take up too much space and the quote would be lost. Poppy Fields near Argenteuil is another favorite.
