We stream a lot more TV series than movies throughout the year, but this past year we had winners in both categories. The Bear is probably my favorite of the lot, and I'm thrilled that there will be a third season. I've written about each of these shows and movies in my monthly summaries. I'd like to see The Bear but I don't think we get it. Do you watch it on Hulu? Is it funny? The Crown was great this season and we liked the Elvis movie. We just started Masters of the Air and Austin Butler is in that ... and Robert wishes he would stop acting like Elvis, ha. We're also watching the True Detective season with Jodie Foster. A bit different, gritty too. Enjoy the week.
ReplyDeleteSusan, I watched The Bear on Hulu. It's partly funny, but also touching without being sappy. Ah, we're watching Masters of the Air and I agree about Austin Butler. He's a bit too pretty. I'm not loving the series nearly as much as Band of Brothers, but we'll stick with it. Also watching Monsieur Spade which isn't all that great, either. I may go back to True Detective with Jodie Foster, but on my own. Oh, and I'm enjoying Lessons in Chemistry--much better than the book!
