Merry Christmas!

Several of these ornaments
(and the photo) are at least 50 years old!

Wishing you all a very happy Christmas and a peaceful (and healthy) New Year.

    1. Thanks, Iliana. Yes, that last one is a treasure. I bought it over 25 years ago and while it was a bit of a splurge, I knew I had to get it. :)

  3. I love seeing all these beautiful ornaments. There is something so delightful about thinking about the stories behind each, I believe.

    1. Thanks, Deb. The drum and elf have been on my Christmas trees since I was a baby. My godmother gave them to me and while they're a bit faded, they are greatly treasured.

    1. Laurel, it's always fun (and sometimes a little bit sad) to get the box of ornaments out each year. Lots of memories wrapped up in those decorations! We had a peaceful Christmas with a few calls (and Zoom) with family and friends. Hope yours was lovely, too.

  6. I may have said this before, but I have the exact drum ornament! I guess we can now consider ourselves antiques, but there is a lovely freedom in being in my 50s. I’d rather have the wisdom I have now than what I thought I knew when I was thinner.😉 I wish you every blessing in 2021, Lesley, and I’m glad for our connection from reading to decorating. xoxo

    1. Meredith, I think you've mentioned that you have the same drum ornament, but I'm not positive. What a coincidence, though! I think I got it around 1962, maybe? Yes, I guess we are antiques. :) Only one year remaining in my 50s and I'm ok with that. I'm looking forward to what my 60s bring. Happy 2021 to you too, my dear friend! xoxo
